Measuring microscopes

Measuring microscopes (instrumental and universal) are designed to measure lengths, angles, thread elements, cones, and various product profiles.

The measurement methods used by measuring microscopes are projection and axial section.

In Ukraine, there is currently a widespread trend towards modernizing measuring microscopes by installing linear scales with a resolution of 1 and 0.5 μm and digital display units manufactured by MICROTECH®.

Microscopes for thread inspection include:

1) Instrument microscopes:

• MMI model microscopes with a measurement limit of up to 75 mm;
• BMI model microscopes with a micrometer screw resolution of 0.005 mm or a digital readout resolution of 1 and 5 µm within a measuring range of up to 150 mm.

2) Universal microscopes, models UIM-21 or UIM-23, with a resolution of 1 µm and a measuring range up to 500 mm;
