Runout gauges with indicator heads, special tips, and centers in which the wheel is installed are used to check the radial runout of the gear rim.
During control, the tip of the runout gauge is sequentially inserted into all the wheel recesses and the largest difference in readings on the head is counted, which characterizes the radial runout of the gear rim.
